The world in this story is dominated by a magical world that lies beneath the surface of the everyday life of a young boy who is on his way to an incredible destiny. The film was released in 2001 based on the famous book written by J.K. Rowling.

Having said that, let us now explore the magical world of Hogwarts and find out more about the boy who lived there.

1. Harry Potters Sad Childhood

Harry Potter is a young boy who lost both of his parents at a very young age. He had to move in with his Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon and his cousin Dudley Dursley.

Unfortunately life was definitely not easy.

Dudley lived a luxurious life where everything was handed to him and he received lots of lavish presents and love. Harry however was constantly neglected, belittled and made to feel like he didn’t fit in.

He also did not have a proper room to sleep in, instead he had a small cupboard under the stairs.

It would be hard to imagine how much loneliness one would feel if no one around them would show any kindness.

It was very hard to explain what they were saying to Harry, yet they made him feel like he had something special inside of him.

Soon the truth began to unfold.

2. Mysterious Letters

As Harry gets closer to celebrating his eleventh birthday, strange letters start to arrive at the Dursley's house.

Each letter is addressed to Harry and invites him to go to a very strange school called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

However Uncle Vernon does all he can to stop Harry from reading the letters.

Despite the family's best efforts, more and more letters continue to be delivered.

Eventually things get stranger and stranger until a friendly giant named Rubeus Hagrid comes along.

He gives Harry some amazing news.

His parents weren't ordinary they were wizards and Harry is also a wizard!

Even more surprisingly Harry is already a celebrity in the wizarding world as he had survived an attack from one of the most dangerous and darkest wizards in history.

This awful event left him with a scar on his forehead shaped like lightning.

Harry finally begins to realise that he isn't an ordinary boy.

He has a whole new world waiting for him.
